When the Bible tells us to “Put on Christ” or “Put on the Armor of God,” it’s giving us a specific set of instructions in morality and virtue. It’s likewise giving us instructions in spirituality, since it’s through how we behave towards God, towards ourselves, and towards our neighbor that put us in the current of God’s power and help us manifest that power here on the physical plane.
I gave a talk about this yesterday, during our first worship service at Our Lady of the Eleven Archangels chapel, where our use of the pre-1970s ecumenical church calendar gave the perfect opportunity for this message. Though I should probably warn you the entire talk was off-the-cuff and with no preparation, especially since it’s my first time preaching in quite awhile.
